Terms of Use

The plain-language version of the rules for using DuoPage.

Last updated: October 30, 2026

DuoPage is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (the “EULA”). The points below explain how it applies to DuoPage; where they differ, the EULA wins.

1. The app

DuoPage is a reading and note-taking app for iPhone and iPad, available from the App Store. You may use it on any Apple device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store’s Usage Rules.

2. Your content

The documents, photos and notes you add stay yours. They are stored on your device, and we have no access to them. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use the files you import — for example, DuoPage cannot open books protected by DRM and must not be used to get around copy protection.

3. DuoPage Pro

  • DuoPage Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase and is handled entirely by Apple.
  • Pro is tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on your other devices with Settings → Restore purchase.
  • Pro supports Family Sharing.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • “Future reading features” means new reading features we add to DuoPage Pro in later updates; it doesn’t cover separate products we may offer.

4. AI study tools

Summaries, answers and flashcards are generated by a language model running on your device. They can be incomplete or wrong, so check important information against the cited pages. Don’t rely on them for medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. The offline models are provided by third parties under their own open-source licences (Qwen3: Apache 2.0).

5. Acceptable use

Please don’t reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, or use it in a way that breaks the law or infringes anyone else’s rights.

6. Updates and availability

We work to keep DuoPage reliable and up to date, and we may add, change or remove features over time. Features that depend on Apple (such as Apple Intelligence or iPhone Duo support) are available only on devices and in regions where Apple provides them.

7. Warranty and liability

DuoPage is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for lost data or indirect damages arising from its use — please keep your own copies of important files. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law where you live.

8. Changes

We may update these terms when the app changes. We’ll post the new version here with a new date. Continuing to use DuoPage after a change means you accept the updated terms.
